Pre-baited swims.

	Fancy a chance at that large bag of Lough Derg bream? Like to fish in secluded areasaway from the crowd.? Why not try our pre-baiting service. The cost for this service is €35 per angler per day and includes the use of fishing platforms if needed. We bait up certain swims on the lake (depending on the time of the year and the weather conditions)and take anglers by boat to these swims and collect them at a pre arranged time in the evening.Over the years we have developed an extensive knowledge of the areas which are most likely to hold large shoals of bream and these we target. Thigh waders are a must due to the fact that some of the swims may require a long cast so being able to wade out that extra few feet is a bonus. 	We would reccomend anglers to have a fairly "beefy" rod capable of casting a loaded feeder 40 to 60 yards.Mainline we use would be 6 to 8 lb mono. or 8 to 12lb.braid (due to its lower diam. a heavier poundage can be used). If using braid a shock leader of 6lb to 8lb.mono.might be a good idea. Hook lengths would vary from 3lb.up to 6lb.

This is a shot of one of our Island swims.This swim has hosted many anglers over the years and produced some large bags of bream.Water drops off to 12feet a short way out and this area is also a good spot for float-fishing but the main method would be feeder.

My son Gary with a fish of 7lbs. 10ozs. caught from a prebaited swim on the west shore of Lough Derg.The fish was one of 6 fish which weighed between 5lbs 9ozs. and this fish of 7.10.All fish were caught on worm and corn cocktail in 14ft. of water with a cast of 30 to 40 yards.
